Fire Ban in effect as of May 7, 2026

The Coastal Fire Centre has indicated there will be an imposed Fire Ban of all Category 1 (Campfires), Category 2 & 3 (Open Fires) effective, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon). These measures are being taken to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires associated with open burning activities. This prohibition will remain in place until October 31, 2026, or until it is rescinded. Campground Rules & Regulations

CHECK IN TIME IS 3:00 PM 
• Guests who arrive after the office is CLOSED, please use the Camp Spot guest portal to check in.
• All guests need to check in with office staff for camping information and safety information.
CHECK OUT TIME IS 11:00 AM
• Please advise the office if you intend to depart later than 11 am.
CANCELLATION POLICY – ALL CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A $25 ADMIN FEE 
    • 0-7 days in advance – no refund
    • 8-21 days in advance – charged first night’s stay + $25 admin fee

    • 22 + days in advance – full refund less $25 admin fee

  • No refunds for early departures, no shows or evictions.
SITE OCCUPANCY – EACH SITE PERMITS ONE CAMPING UNIT (TENT/RV) WITH 4 ADULTS 
• Additional Tents/RV may be permitted, depending on the site will be an extra charge.
• Additional Occupants may be permitted and will be an extra charge.
QUIET TIME IS 11 PM- 8:00 AM. – NO EXCESSIVE NOISE AND/OR PARTYING 
• Management has the right to evict you and your party from the campground.
•Generators are permitted for 2 hours in the Mornings and Evenings (9 AM-11 AM & 5 PM-7 PM)
CAMPFIRES – CAMPFIRES ARE PERMITTED UNLESS A FIRE BAN IS IN EFFECT.
• All campfires must be supervised by an adult and contained within the fire rings.
• Please fully extinguish your campfire before you leave the site.
TABLES/FIREPITS – Keep table and fire pits in designated campsite, do not move.
GARBAGE – Campsites must be clean and tidy (free of attractants to wildlife)
• Limited resources on site, please “Pack In, Pack Out “.
RECYCLABLE/RETURNABLES  
• “Pack In, Pack Out “. Whatever you bring in please bring it back home with you.
• Limited capacity on site, available recycling options at the Bamfield Transfer Station
ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION – A person may not consume liquor in a public place, or a public beach.  RCMP patrols this campground regularly.
SECURITY – Pachena Bay Campground is not responsible for vehicles or belongings brought into campsite.
PRIVACY – Please respect the privacy of fellow campers and their desire for quiet enjoyment.
BEACH USE – Please do not leave garbage on the beach, no building large structures or digging holes on the beach as it poses a risk to other campers.
SPEED LIMIT IS 10 KM/HR. – Drivers must obey posted speed limits and be aware of pedestrians, especially children at all times.
FOREST SIDE CAMPERS – Please use designated public beach accesses only.
PET RULES – Dogs must be kept on a leash; dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
• Excessive barking will not be tolerated.
• Animal stools must be picked up, wrapped, and placed in the garbage bins.
