Campground Rules & Regulations

Check-In is 2 pm & Check-Out is 11 am. 

  • ALL CAMPERS MUST CHECK IN AND OUT AT CAMPGROUND OFFICE.
  • DRIVE-INS – Late night drive in’s with no reservations are asked to park in the day use parking lot and register at the office first thing in the morning. Please be aware you may have to move as the site may be reserved the following day.
  • SECURITY – Pachena Bay Campground is not responsible for vehicles or belongings brought into campsite.
  • SPEED LIMIT IS 10 KM/HR. Drivers must obey posted speed limits and be aware of pedestrians, especially children at ALL TIMES.
  • TENT LIMIT – Each site is permitted one tent or RV per site.  Additional tents/RV may be permitted, depending on the site, and are an extra charge.
  • NO TENTS allowed on the beach.
  • QUIET TIME IS 11 PM.  No excessive noise and/or partying will be tolerated. Such disturbances will result in a warning from staff and Noise Disturbance Fee $200 will be charged. If the warning is disregarded, management has the right to evict you and your party from the campground. There are no refunds if you are evicted.
  • ATV’s and dirtbikes are not permitted within the campground.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY – All cancellations are subject to a $25 admin fee.

0-7 days in advance – no refund

8-21 days in advance – charged first night’s stay + $25 admin fee

22 + days in advance – full refund less $25 admin fee

No refunds for early departures, no shows or evictions.

  • PRIVACY – Please respect the privacy of fellow campers and their desire for quiet enjoyment.
  • FOREST SIDE CAMPERS – Please use designated Public Beach Accesses only.
  • DRIVING ON BEACH TRAILS is prohibited.
  • PET RULES – Dogs must be kept on a leash, Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Animal stools must be picked up, wrapped, and placed in the garbage bins.
  • ONLY Guide dogs are permitted in the washrooms.
  • GARBAGE Campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Deposit all garbage in proper receptacles located within the campground. If the site is left unkempt and toiletries are found within campsite, a $50.00 fee will be applied to your credit card.
  • ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION – A person may not consume liquor in a public place, public beach. Keep alcoholic beverages within your campsite. RCMP patrols this campground regularly.
  • RECYCLABLE/RETURNABLES – Please do not leave recyclables/returnables as we do not have capacity to store on site at campground. “Pack it in, pack it out“. Whatever you bring to a campsite, make sure to bring all of it back home with you. Garbage bins are available, there is minimal recycle options on -site. Bamfield Tranfer Station accepts specifi/ limited recyclables.
  • TABLES/FIREPITS – Keep table and fire pits in designated campsite. Do not move fire pits.
  • CAMPFIRES – Campfires are permitted unless there is a fire closure in the area. All campfires must be supervised by an adult and contained within the fire pits. Please fully extinguish your campfire before you leave the site. NO bonfires and burning large beach logs.
  • DO NOT cut any wood on the beach or in the forest.  Firewood is sold at PBC Office.
  • Small generators only are permitted and used during day to minimize noise to other campers.
