The Pachena Bay Campground boasts a custom-designed wash house with (6) coin operated hot showers, and flush toilets which is wheelchair-accessible. The architecture blends with the environment and reflects the traditional design of a Huu-ay-aht bighouse. Two secondary bathroom facilities are available in the middle of the campground, and one near the end.
Water access is available throughout the campground.
Recycling/Refundable – our capacity is very limited and we encourage guests to “take out what you take in”.
Is the road to Bamfield Paved? The road to Bamfield is now chip sealed, but please use caution when driving as it is an active logging road
Does Pachena Bay Campground have potable water? Yes, there is access to potable water throughout the Campground at marked blue water taps.
Is there Showers and flushable toilets? Yes, we have public washrooms and coin operated showers ($2 only) at the shower house as well as two public bathrooms throughout the campground
Are you connected to the West Coast Trail? No, we are not connected to the West Coast Trail, however we are a part of the Huu-ay-aht Group of Businesses
Is there cell service? Cell service is very limited at the campground to certain spots on the beach depending on carrier. Bamfield has cell coverage once in the downtown core, at the Bamfield Fire hall and the Bamfield Marine Science Centre
Do we have Wi-Fi? Yes, we do have Wi-Fi around the campground office
Do we sell firewood? Yes, we do sell firewood at the campground office
Do you sell ice? Yes, we do sell ice at the Campground office
Do you have a place to do Laundry? No, we do not have a laundry facility at the campground however, there is a coin operated laundry at Hacas Inn (Formerly the Motel) in Bamfield.
Is there a restaurant nearby? Yes, there is The Café which is in Bamfield.
Is there a store nearby? Yes, there is a store in Bamfield that sells a variety of items from gum to groceries to souvenirs and toiletries
Is there anywhere to get gas nearby? Yes, there is the Gas Bar located in Bamfield at Ostrom’s
